Shrewsbury Utd L 4-2 - Friendly
A great performance from the lads saw them score the first goal (Karl H), unfortunately not all the chances from the pressure were taken and this enabled Shrewsbury to equalise and then go on to lead and at half time we went in trailing 2-1. Early in the second half Shrewsbury seemed to put the game away at 3-1 but a Lewis P freekick made the Rangers push forward Tom W had efforts saved as did Lewis P, Mark H and Charile A it was all rangers and but with a hot day and no end product Shrewsbury delivered the killer blow 4-2. Playing the side from Solihull was an experience very big lads and wanting not to loose but Rangers never gave up hope at 4 nil at half time the lads could of given up but not these lads, 2 goals from L J one being a great chip and one from Mark H made it a respectable scoreline. Nova Utd L 6-2 - Friendly
Last Friendly before the season started winners of the A league nova. The ranger boys played some great football and were unlucky to be losing 1 nil at half time. Some changes saw Nova push on and start to capitalise but LJ made sure Rangers would not go home without a goal and a Lewis P penalty made the score a bit more respectable. MOM Adam R Back to top
09/09/07 - League versus Shifnal W 1-3
Some great football from Ranger saw lots of pressure but lots of woodwork, would the ball ever go in the back of the net, then Mark H broke the deadlock before half time. Lewis P doubled the lead before Shifnal had a great break and a Michael P own goal as he tried to cut out an excellent ball could have caused some nervous moments but Lewis P put it beyond doubt. 16/09/07 - League versus Perton & Codsall L 0-1
First home game of the season saw previous league one winners turn up at Donnington. The goal was scrappy defending too many trying to help out and also a lack of belief but once Rangers saw they had a chance the second half was all Oakengates, constant pressure and last minute defending saw Perton leave with 3 points luckily. 23/09/07 - League versus Randlay W 0-5
The first time all the squad were eligible and it showed constant pressure from Oakengates but again no goals until Lewis P fired one across the goalkeeper and take a bit of pressure of the team. The second half was entertaining has Luke B, Jason T back at his old team (2) and Mark H put the tie safely to bed. Randlay had the chance for a consolation goal after Dane J misread the ball but fired onto the crossbar with an open net in front of them. MOM Adam R Back to top
30/09/07 - League versus All Saints W 8-0
The same team started and took a great game to All Saints constant pressure, delightful football and lots of supporters Liam B started the scoring Charlie A scored a great goal from the wing then LJ followed up with 2, Jason T scored 2, Karl H came of the bench a scored a great goal across the keeper and Lewis P finished with a late penalty. 7/10/07 - Charity Cup versus Baschurch W 5-1
Rangers took the game to Baschurch right from kick off the first goal saw some great wide play Josh H, LJ then Liam B put the finishing touch 0-1. Charlie A scored the second which chipped the keeper 0-2, LJ added a third after fine passes from Liam B and Lewis P 0-3 and the tie was over but Rangers continued to score Liam Bs great movement got a fourth 0-4 Baschurch then pushed forward and a mix up at the back got a consolation goal 1-4 then Karl H added a fifth 1-5 Rangers in to next round of cup.

14/10/07 - League Cup versus Global Soccer W4-1
Rangers had a tough draw divison A side but what a game by the team, they wanted it more and got what they deserved. LJ put the Rangers men a head 0-1 and there was some great performances from all the squad from defence to attack, Jason T added a second 0-2, but a mistake saw Global score 1-2. Rangers then scored immediately afterwards Liam B and Lewis helped set up Jason T 1-3 then Jason added a third 1-4 brilliant lads well done.

21/10/07 - league versus Bridgnorth W2-0
Oakengates started very brightly and Jason T deservedly put them ahead within ten minutes 0-1, a Jordan K corner found Ryan W (Blan) who headed home 0-2 Oakengates then took their foot of the pedal. In the second half Bridgnorth came at the Rangers and hit the cross bar LJ had a chance in the last five but somehow it stayed out

28/10/07 - League versus Broseley D1-1
Broseley came to Rangers home pitch and Rangers turned up with the wrong attitude early scare before Karl H put rangers ahead 1-0. Broseley then had one decent chance with mistakes at the back causing the equaliser 1-1. The second half was all Rangers Jason T had a chance saved as did LJ and Charlie A saw a smashing header hit the crossbar.

4/11/07 - Charity Cup versus Ludlow W3-2 on pens (2-2 AET)
Oakengates started the brighter of the two teams showing some good linkage play Liam B broke the deadlock with a well taken goal 0-1. Ludlow started to push for an equaliser and saw some chances go begging. Rangers continued to play nice football but seemed to have frustrations in front of goal.
The second half saw Ludlow push even more with some nice passing play of their own the rangers defence were battling hard until unluckily they conceded 1-1. This woke Rangers up and Karl A and Jason T saw efforts saved before final whistle.
ET first half saw Rangers really go for the jugular some excellent passing play saw LJ finish and put Rangers in control 1-2. Ludlow threw everything and got there deserved equaliser 2-2. just before end of half. The second half was a quiet affair from both teams no one really wanting to put a foot wrong

11/11/07 - League Cup qtr final versus Madeley L4-3 on pens (2-2AET)
Madeley surprised Rangers with some great football and very early on shocked them even more with a goal 0-1 and then the battle started in ernest with rangers pushing for a goal last 20 minutes of the first half was exceptional football by Rangers but chances were going begging.
The second half started how it finished with great pressure LJ had a one on one saved and then even more pressure by Rangers before a Madeley breakaway put them 2 up 0-2. Inspired substitutions saw a change and Ryan W after some great passing finished a lovely move 1-2. Luke B found Anthony P who put it back in the box and Mark H finished with his head 2-2. Full time extra time saw chances going begging but felt like both teams played for penalties

18/11/07 - Charity Cup qtr final versus Bridgnorth Sp L5-1
The Ranger boys turned up to Bridgnorth on a very cold and very wet day and it seemed like we hadn?t really turned up to play football. Wayward headers saw Spartans pounce and put themselves in front 1-0. Rangers still tried some ounce of football and saw a couple of chances go amiss. Bridgnorth then run through and a nice square pass as defenders committed put Oakengates further behind 2-0 . Rangers credit to them tried for a goal and Jason t made an excellent run and his strike just went wide.
Second half and Rangers got lucky with some defending before some nice football sae LJ finish well 2-1. although came off injured and within a minute the little hope Rangers had vanished with a goal 3-1. this knocked the stuffing out but Jason T still tried to get some more goals with good speculative shots and some great link play. Spartans then saw a ball smacked in hard and looked like the Spartans player just couldn?t get out the way headed home 4-1. it wasn?t rangers day today and with nothing left to play for a great strike and goal by Spartans ended another cup 5-1 MOM Jason T Back to top
25/11/07 - League versus Oakengates COLTS W4-0
After finally getting a pitch to play on the game started and Rangers were trying hard to breakdown the colts defence LJ saw an effort hit the crossbar. Jordan K switched play to Josh H who delivered an excellent ball to Lewis P who finished on the turn 1-0. Rangers continued to push for a second and Colts had only speculative shots from outside the box. A one on one for the colts saw Dane J save well. A great ball from the right found LJ who headed home 2-0. HT
Second half started and rangers seemed to take their foot off the pedal although Colts were working hard and battling then Lewis P ball over found Jason T onside who patiently finished well 3-0. This killed off the colts in reality before Lewis P hit the post and later Karl H scored the final goal 4-0 MOM Josh H Back to top
2/12/07 - League versus Shifnal W6-0
A great start with Rangers taking the game to Shifnal, all Rangers pressure saw Lewis P volley home for 1-0. Shifnal then started to play some football and gave the ranger boys a scare with some nice pressure. LJ then scored the second goal to make it 2-0. Josh h played a great ball to back post Jason T converted 3-0. a Jordan K corner found Danny E who headed home 4.0 the game was practically over. Half time saw some big changes Jason T scored the fifth 5-0 and Ryan W finished the game 6-0. MOM Adam R Back to top
9/12/07 - League versus Perton L4-1
Rangers took the game to Perton and they seemed a bit shell shocked Jason T and LJ had chances to put rangers infront but the goalie saved well. a first half penalty was hit just wide by Lewis P. Rangers were resolute again at the back. Half time.
Rangers again took the game to Perton a ball from Jason T found Lewis P who scored OFFSIDE!! Things were not going rangers way before some slack marking on a free kick found Perton scoring 1-0. then sloppy closing down 2-0. the hard work had gone to waste, Rangers still pushed to get back into it Jason T saw another effort saved. A
Luke B tackle saw a penalty awarded but Dane J saved well. Perton were running ragged now confidence had switched teams a ball into 6 yds area was finished well 3-0. a shot from 15 yds was squirmed by Dane J and rolled over line 4-0. Rangers still pushed ot get something out of game they had thrown away, and Ryan W saw an effort cleared off the line before another chance he confidently lifted over keeper 4-1. 16/12/07 - League versus Randlay L1-0
Randlay came to Aldi pitch in good form something the Ranger Boys had taken for granted , Randlay were tackling hard but Rangers were trying to maintain their composure but playing well within themselves Lewis P turned the keeper but couldn?t finish; a foul on Jason T looked a penalty but a free kick was awarded, nothing was going rangers way, twice Randlay cleared off the goal line half time nil ? nil.

Rangers pushed for a winner , goal mouth scrambles but still no goal, and then a Randlay corner in the 72nd minute saw some indecisiveness and a goal 0-1. Rangers threw everything forward but the goal keeper for Randlay did everything required of him as the game finished 0-1 MOM Anthony P Back to top
