Rangers from kick off took the game to All saints, all Saints Keeper was being a hero in denying the Rangers strikeforce Lewis P saw a one on one go wide Karl H saw an effort hit the inside of the post and roll along the goal line before coming out . Jason T then scored the opener for Rangers 0-1 Liam B made it two with a great 25yd strike 0-2. Jason T got his 2nd and rangers 3rd 0-3. Lewis P finished well to make it 0-4. then in a couple of minutes secured his hat trick with two nice goals 0-5. 0-6. Half time was blew

second half started with all the subs on Josh H made it 0-7 and then was unlucky not to add a second with a 30yd smash that hit the underside of the crossbar and came back out. Jason T made it 8 and got his own hat trick 0-8. Charlie A added the 9th and Mark H the 10th 0-10. Rangers were cruising a lot of positional changes were then made and Jason T trying to play centre half was turned and All saints scored 1-10. then Danny E playing upfront added the 11th and 12th 1-12th before a Dane J great run and square ball found Danny E who laid of Liam B for the 13th thats how the game ended and a great performance enjoyed by all 1-13.

Jan 27th Management Cup Quarter Final V All Saints at Home

Rangers started the best but were being a bit sluggish and not performing a their peak all saints started to create some minor chances but the defence had them covered. Rangers then started playing the nice football they have been coached and started to really create chances Jason T was battling hard along with Lewis P and Charlie A. Liam B and Jordan K were marshalling the midfield and then Jason T hit his first from Charlie A 1-0 it was then the Jason T show with numbers 2, 3,4, and 5, 5-0 tot he Rangers and cruising Jason T saw an effort loop the keeper and hit the underside of crossbar before coming back out but no one could decide if it was a goal Liam B also had a similar 25yder come back out Half Time.

All the subs were introduced and Rangers continued to dominate although chances were going begging before Mark H leaped like a slamon to head home number 6 . 6-0. then a All siants consolation goal by just being switched off 6-1. it wa sthen all rangers but the keeper was in great form and denying them. thats how it finished and Rangers march to their first semi final and had broken the quarter final hoo-do.

Feb 24th Management Cup semi V Global Soccer

Global seeked revenge for their league cup defeat, and fielded a different side, could rangers get to a final they deserved? Also Rangers hadn’t played a competitive game for a month. Global came at Rangers straight from kick off and the Rangers defence of Adam R , Danny E, Anthony P and Josh H were handling everything thrown at them. The Midfield of Liam B and Jordan K were also batting with some relief gained from Charlie A and L J but the only threat was a throw in which hit the post in the first half Jason T and Lewis P were chasing the odd lost cause but it was Globals first half but Dane J had no proper save to make. Half time.

Second half was much the same no Ranger shots and no Global shots on target but out of the blue a speculative drive from 20yds out hit the top corner and a Goal to Global. 0-1. Rangers kept battling but global were clever enough to soak it up, Changes were m ade but still ideas were running short and global came out as winners. March 2nd V Oakengates Colts Away

With the wind against them Rangers were under the cosh but battled strongly an early substitution as Jordan K was injured. Rangers battled bravely and although colts threated they couldn’t put the finishing touches to there chances Charlie A won a Penalty and Charlie A slotted home confidently 0-1. Colts immediately broke through but lacked again the finish required. Half time

The second half saw changes by both colts and Rangers with Jordan K now fit to play aswell , this was a great half Jason T skipped thorugh the defence and finished well megging keeper 0-2. Colts still had chances to get back in but Danny E and Adam R were working well with Anthony P and Josh H in support. Then another ball saw Jason T put the the tie beyond doubt with his second 3-0. more changes were m ade and chances were coming for each team a great ball by Jordan K found Karl H who played in Ryan W but his touch let him down also colts went through at the other end but Dane J was excellent in his bravery. Game ended and second was still a possibility for the league. MOM Jordan K

April 11th V Broseley Away

Oakengates went to Broseley for the last game of the season and needed just one point to secure runners up spot in the league.

The game started evenly as both teams seemed up for the fight. Broseley then started applying some pressure although Rangers back four were again outstanding this then pushed them on as Rangers started to dominate proceedings a great ball to Anthony P who had made a surging run was put over the bar. Rangers midfield dominated now and sopme good link up play saw liam B stop the nerves with a goal 0-1. Lewis P was ubed injured and his replacemnet Karl H had a chance too. L J run through and his shot was saved. Charlie A was battling hard in midfield and his work was rewarded with a great ball from liam B and charlie applied the cool finish 0-2. Rangers continued to dominate but took the foot off allowing Broseley some chances but the defence was always up to the task and Dane J was making sure nothing got past him. Half Time.

Rangers made sure the subs got on for the second half and the changes saw Broseley dominate the game a bit more Jason T was working hard to hold the ball up and made some great runs one effort was blasted just wide and a nice ball found Mark H who fired over the bar then another ball in the box found Mark again who scored 0-3. Rangers kept pressing and Brosley never gave up a good game a runners up spot secure.

awards given out on the night most MOMs for season Adam R, Top goal scorer Jason T and a special thank you award to Josh H who has been magnificent this season but is leaving due to pursuing a career in the armed forces.

Well done Lads a great season and a good base for next years challenge a real pleasure to have been Managed you hope we march onwards together next season!!!
